The information given in this technical document is based on actual testing and is believed to be product specific. No guarantee of results is however implicit, the conditions of use remaining beyond our control.

Unique in Europe: Firespray® has PV without primer and without mesh on all sheet metal duct applications (ventilation, smoke extraction, circular, rectangular, horizontal and vertical)

Firespray® areas of application

Firespray® coating is used for passive fire protection:

  • Using membranes on composite floors, structural frames (reduced infinite plenum), insulated and non-insulated steel roof pans, wood floors.
  • Directly on horizontal and vertical circular ventilation and smoke extraction ducts. Horizontal and vertical rectangular ventilation and smoke extraction ducts

Firespray ® implementation techniques

Firespray ® coating is sprayed on. The spraying technique, also known as flocking, consists in applying Firespray® fibres under pressure, using a special machine.
The expected thickness will be defined according to the required fire resistance rating.

Spraying is carried out using a hydro-pneumatic spraying machine.
This comprises a feed hopper, a carding device, a blowing device (fan, turbine or blower), a hose for conveying the mixture to be sprayed.
A spray gun and water.

The product is carded in the machine and then conveyed through a hose to a spray gun using compressed air. Water-fed nozzles are placed around the hose outlet to wet the product before it is sprayed onto the substrate.

Firespray® does not require a bonding agent to be applied beforehand.

The applied coating will be finished with Projiso Fixo Dur® ou le Sidairless®
