Firespray® consists of slag wool, with hydraulic and inorganic binders. It is supplied in the form of light flakes.
The thickness of the fire protection coating varies between 21 and 69 mm.
Beam height must be at least 120 mm

The assembly involves placing M48 spacers directly on the floor beams at right angles with a maximum spacing of 600 mm. Screw-fix an expanded metal sheet and apply Firespray® to the desired fire protection rating.
Firespray ® fibres are spray-applied using a spraying machine. The fibres are pressure-fed through a hose. Water-fed nozzles are placed around the hose outlet to wet the product before it is sprayed onto the substrate. The fibres are then fed into a spray gun used to apply the Firespray ® mixture.

he thickness of the sprayed layer will be defined according to the required fire resistance rating.

Techniques for implementing Firespray® for fire protection of composite floor using membranes

For assembly, the principle is to place M48 furring strips directly on the floor joists perpendicularly with a maximum center distance of 600mm. To fix an expanded metal by means of screws and to apply the Firespray® according to the expected degree of fire.

Firespray® does not require prior application of a bonding agent.

The coating will be finished with Projiso Fixo Dur® or Sidairless®.
Projiso Fixo Dur®, which acts by impregnation, is a complex mixture of silicates and acrylic copolymers in the water phase. Its novel formula combined with its particularly low viscosity
allows it to penetrate the fibrous coating to a depth of up to 15 mm. It is applied by spraying.

Sidairless® is an aqueous dispersion of vinyl copolymers with inert mineral fillers. It is specially designed for the surfacing and mechanical reinforcement of fibrous coatings. It is applied using pumps for spray-applied coatings.
